WHAT ARE IN-DIRECT (CONSULT) SERVICES?
In-direct therapy services include the provider working primarily with the caregiver to train them how to best assist the individual who receives services. The goal is for training to be thorough and reflect evidence based practice so caregivers feel confident to implement interventions.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
- Comprehensive Occupational Therapy Plan for Support that correlates to the individuals ISP
- Sensory processing assessments and interventions
- Consistent communication and collaboration with the care team
- Trial and recommendation of adaptive equipment
- Written Letters of Medical Necessity to assist with getting supplies through the waiver
- Development of individual-specific interventions (visuals, home exercise plans, multi-sensory modalities, social stories etc.)
- Training materials as needed
VIRTUAL THERAPY (if appropriate)
Telehealth therapy sessions allow you to participate from the comfort of your own home. We use secure and HIPAA-compliant video conferencing to provide the same high-quality care as in-person sessions.
AREAS WE SERVE
Freedom to Function LLC serves the central VA area including Hanover, Henrico, Richmond and Chesterfield. Telehealth and hybrid services are available for NOVA and more rural areas.
